After missing the last 21 games for the Minnesota Twins, centerfielder Byron Buxton will return to the lineup against the Los Angeles Angels.
Buxton was originally placed on the 10 day DL for a migraine issue. Shortly after, he was assigned to Fort Myers to get some swings in at a lower level of competition in order to get him in a rhythm. Unfortunately, Buxton fouled a ball off of his foot which fractured a bone in his toe which further sidelined him until tonight’s game.
Buxton in 2018, has a batting average of .195, and is responsible for 2 RBIs and 4 stolen bases in just 11 games. Let’s hope the electric centerfielder can hit the ground running as the Minnesota Twins look to secure the lead of the American League Central.
It’s good to have you back, Byron.
